Well run and typical of a KOA. A KOA is not my thing. This one is nicely managed and not so over the top with activities. Pool looks nice and cabins have a BBQ and fire ring.
My husband and I recently stayed 4 nights camping in a tent at this KOA. We showed up with no reservation on a busy weekend, and was warmly welcomed, and even got to choose our campsite! This KOA had a lot to offer, especially for kids (disclaimer: we don't have children, but I could see how the playground, pools, games, movies, arcade - would keep them entertained!). Dog friendly. Nice adults only jacuzzi pool. Close to a great paved waterfront trail for biking/walking. The staff was friendly and gave us great advice to for places to go/things to do in the 1000 islands area. The tent sites were a bit uneven and rocky in spots. Limited privacy but we had a decent site without many others around us. The only (and very minor) complaints: Wi-Fi was intermittent, the wood was tough to burn (wet), and only 1 washroom facility. Would recommend for families/RV's. Good overall!
I stayed in a cabin. It was so cute and very clean. All of the staff where very friendly and helpful. I feel they went out of their way to ensure that i had a good experience. The grounds are well maintained and in good order. We had a variety of ages in our group from seniors to young adult..a teenager a couple infants and a toddler. Everyone enjoyed their stay. There are fun activities for kids and teenagers. That bounce pillow..and of course the pool/ hottub. The playground has a large variety of equipment for little ones as well as bigger kids. I didn't bring my dog but I did notice all the great care they put into there K9 visitors as well. There's a really cute doggie playground and a nice dog wash area. I'm was impressed and I definitely plan to come back again. This is a fun family campground.
We booked a couple of days in a wide site after 9 days of camping elsewhere to break up the drive home. My son was so happy to arrive here. In one night he swam, played bingo, had a wagon ride and bounced on the pillow. Our site is quiet and relaxing. However based on what I see down the road - there is a lot of socializing into the night.
Lots of things for kids to do. It is a little more expensive than most camp grounds, but everything is paid for like wagon rides, bubble gum cannon balls at the pools, bingo, Sunday pancakes and so on. Pools are heated and one is an adult only hot tub
