Very nice .would definitely recommend to friends .
We stayed at camp ground 144 and 145...both of them are very small sites so it's best to book two; especially if you go with someone else. They were on the waterfront(river) our dogs swam all weekend long. Nice bathrooms and friendly staff; the bathrooms and showers were nice. I would avoid staying away from sites near the highway that goes right through the campground..we weren't anywhere near that so we didn't hear the noise but when walking through the site it's really noisy. There is a cute little beach and picnic tables; we spent a lot of our time there, swimming and having a drink. Very nice time; we would be back
It is close to wather and has very nice views, but plots are very small and Highway is so close, too much noise.
Beautiful views, friendly staff, and very nice bathrooms, especially for families trying to shower small kids.
Cute little place. We stayed in one of the cabins which is outfitted with a bedroom for bunk beds and a double bed, and a kitchen with a double futon, a table, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. There is a little cupboard space. The front porch has a picnic table and a barbecue and is sheltered from the sun. There is water from a tall next door but I was warned against potability. Quick jot around a hairpin turn brings you to the washroom with only 2 toilets! There are portable toilets everywhere but really.,this is a big park ,there should be more than 2. The next building has showers and there are 4 or 5. They are reasonably clean. Firewood is available at the main store for 8 bucks or you can go down the street and get twice as much for 10. Many of the things you may have forgotten are in the store (but not bread!) and they are very friendly inside. The camp is laid out to keep a very modicum of privacy. There is a boat ramp and you could fish from shore or launch a canoe. Keep in mind that it is the St. Lawrence River so currents are very strong and the water is very deep. We encounter a diving crew while riding our bikes. Supermarket is 15-20 minutes away in Gananonque. There is proximity to zip lines (15 minutes), river cruises (10 minutes) and gasoline (5 minutes) and it is very close to highway 401.
Highway noise.. Man great sites are seasonal so they're gone. Pick your site carefully. 145 was tiny. Constant road traffic to the boat launch made for a dusty experience and continued after 9pm each night. Swimming area very small. Very nice staff. Showers decent.
